A midcentury modern single fin surfboard by the master shaper Rusty Preisendorfer.

Canyon Surfboards serial number #632 was created at the Santa Fe street surfboard factory in the back half of the 1970’s.
When was the Full Rainbow laminate used?
Canyon surfboards has been known for prolifically iconic symbols. Symbols as unique as the world distinguished riders. While the thunderbird inspired by the Maui Foal has been the most recognized logo, the full rainbow run from the #200’s intermixedly up until the #800s, when the lam remains were preserved for private stock.
Earlier iterations of the full rainbow logo feature single chakra colors, such as the hearth chakra green in #363.
Rusty recalled that roughly 1,000 surfboards were produced annually at the beginning of their collaborative run starting in 1978.
